In force from: September 7, 2026

Agreement

Using the Openhour platform or messaging us means you accept these terms.

1. Independent contractor

Tasks are carried out as an independent contractor. No employment, partnership or agency relationship is created. You are responsible for your own taxes.

2. Eligibility and account

  • Accuracy: the information you give must be true.
  • Fair use: bots, duplicate accounts and fraudulent methods are not allowed.
  • Eligibility: you must be at least 18 and resident in the United States.

3. Pay and quality review

Pay is linked to tasks that are completed and approved.

  • Each task offer states its length, requirements and pay method in writing before you accept.
  • Payment follows review and approval. Work that is incomplete, careless or fraudulent may be declined.
  • No minimum income is promised; the number of tasks available varies.

4. Intellectual property

Anything you produce inside a task belongs to the researcher or organization that commissioned it.

5. Ending things

You can stop at any time by declining tasks or telling us. Serious breaches on your side may lead to your account being frozen, which can affect any unpaid balance under the applicable rules.

By messaging us or continuing, you accept these terms.
